Earlier we reported that The Today Show could be heading for a streaming makeover as traditional TV viewership continues to decline. Now, NBC has announced TODAY All Day will be available for free on Peacock when it launches July 15.
TODAY All Day is a 24/7 version of the lifestyle programming featured on The Today Show and will include premium coverage of human-interest, entertainment, advice and cooking segments all day long. The show will be available with Peacock’s free tier and reach a new demographic of viewers.
“This is very much for us about attracting new audiences,” said Chris Berend, executive vice president of digital for NBC News Group. “We believe that the things that make the ‘Today’ brand powerful, which are the emotion, the utility it provides, will be discovered by and attract a brand new audience — and outside the context of traditional television.”
Now instead of only 4 weekday hours and 2 weekend hours of content, you can watch the hosts of Today deliver news updates, trend reports, weather, and other lifestyle programming anytime with TODAY All Day.
Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Craig Melvin, Al Roker, Carson Daly, Willie Geist, Jenna Bush Hager, Sheinelle Jones, Dylan Dreyer, Kristen Welker and Peter Alexander will be featured hosts throughout the stream.
