Week 8 of the NBA 2020-21 regular season heads into the weekend with a lineup of 11 games tonight, including a national doubleheader. Tonight’s jammed pack schedule features some of the biggest stars in the NBA including LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kawhi Leonard, Luka Dončić, Trae Young, Zion Williamson, and more. ESPN will be the home of tonight’s national doubleheader with the first game tipping-off at 7:30 p.m. ET between the 11-13 Pelicans and 12-14 Mavericks. Zion Williamson and the Pelicans are on the second game of their 4-game road trip and are coming off of a 129-116 loss against the Bulls. Luka Dončić and the Mavs have won their last 5 home games and will be looking to extend their streak tonight.
ESPN’s late game will tip-off at 10 p.m. ET when the 10-10 Grizzlies travel to the Staples Center to take on the 20-6 Lakers. LeBron James and the defending NBA champions are currently one-game back from the Western Conference-leading Utah Jazz and will need a win tonight to stay on their heels.
There are a few games around the league that NBA fans should keep their eye on tonight. The 11-13 Hawks are hosting the 14-11 Spurs at 7:30 p.m. ET on Fox Sports Southeast and Fox Sports Southwest. The Hawks have won 1 of their last 5 games, while the Spurs have won 3 of their last 5.
On Fox Sports Prime Ticket, and NBC Sports Chicago, the 18-8 Clippers travel to the Windy City to take on the 10-14 Bulls at 8 p.m. ET. Kawhi Leonard will be without fellow All-Star Paul George tonight as the Clippers look to defeat a young Bulls team.
At 9 p.m. ET on Fox Sports Wisconsin and AT&T SportsNet-Rocky Mountain, the reigning and defending 2-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and the 16-9 Bucks travel to Salt Lake City to take on the NBA’s best 20-5 Jazz. The Jazz haven’t missed a single note this season with their historic dominance as the franchise has won 15 of their last 16 contests.
