After a tumultuous season like none other, where a game was played each day of the week for the first time in league history, the 2021 NFL Super Wildcard Weekend has finally arrived. For the first time in NFL history, there will be three playoff games played in the Wildcard Round.
Find out how to watch all of Saturday’s Super Wildcard Weekend games on the road to Super Bowl LV below.
The Games – Start Times and Channel
|Game||Kickoff Time||TV Channel|
|Indianapolis Colts at Buffalo Bills||1:05 p.m. ET||CBS|
|Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks,||4:40 p.m. ET||FOX|
|Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Washington Football Team||8:15 p.m.||NBC|
The AFC will be kicking things off with the early game at 1:05 p.m. ET on CBS, as the No. 6 Indianapolis Colts (11-5) travel to The Ralph to take on the No. 2 Buffalo Bills (13-3). The Bills are the champions of the AFC East for the first time in 25 years and this will be the first time they’ve hosted a playoff game since 1996. The two teams were former division rivals in the old AFC East and this marks the first time the Bills will host the Colts in the playoffs.
The rubber match between NFC West foes will kick things off in the NFC, when the No. 6 Los Angeles Rams (10-6) travel to Lumen Field to take on the No. 3 Seattle Seahawk (12-4) at 4:40 p.m. ET on FOX. During their first two regular-season matchups, the average margin of victory was 9 points. Just like their Week 16 matchup, Seattle will be without their usual home field advantage provided by the 12’s, as no fans will be in attendance.
Saturday night’s main event is an NFC showdown, as the worst team in the playoffs, the No. 4 Washington Football Team (7-9) welcome the No. 5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers to FedEx Field at 8:15 p.m. on NBC. Washington is looking to prove that they belong in the playoffs. Buccaneers QB Tom Brady wants to prove that he’s not done as he attempts to lead the Bucs to their first postseason victory since the club won the Super Bowl in 2003.

Predictions: It’s Wildcard Weekend, expect some surprises and a couple of upsets.
After two and a half decades, Bills Mafia will be in for a treat and a few broken tables, as QB Josh Allen delivers the franchise its first home victory to end years of heartbreak. The Bills are looking like the second-best team in the AFC for a reason and they will go as far as Allen will take them. If he continues to keep playing the way he’s played all season then they should have no problems defeating the Colts. However, if Allen reverts to his old form from the 2020 playoffs by making errant throws and poor decisions then things will not end well for the Bills. Former Bills QB and current Colts Head Coach Frank Reich would love nothing more than to play spoiler to his old team, but it will be a tough task. 38-24 Bills win.
With QB Jared Goff being questionable heading into the playoffs, the Rams may be looking for backup QB John Wolford to get some playing time. Wolford showed promise in their Week 17 18-7 victory against the Cardinals. The play calling is more aggressive when he’s on the field and he can scoot for a big run. If Goff ends up playing, he will not be at 100%, and he hasn’t played up to his potential all season. The Rams do have one of the best defenses in the league, but the Seahawks are a good enough team to hang with them, as showed by Seattle’s Week 16 home victory. Expect Russell Wilson and the Seahawks to win this slugfest of a grudge match 27-24.
The Washington Football Team won the worst division in football thanks to the Eagles going to an unproven QB. They will have their hands full when they take on the Bucs. Tom Brady is no stranger to playoff success and has played like one of the better QBs in the league when he doesn’t face any pressure in the pocket. This is why this game will be the upset of the night, the Washington pass rush will make Saturday night difficult for Tampa Brady or Tompa Bay. Presumptive Defensive Rookie of the Year Chase Young and the Washington defense will shock the world with a 20-14 win.
