Dinner and a movie is a go-to date night idea that may be off the table during a pandemic. So how about flowers and a movie? Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has launched a special promotion through floral delivery website 1-800-Flowers to give customers some of Universal’s most popular films as an add-on option to their flower order.
The movie will be yours to keep along with your flower order, where you can add it to your Movies Anywhere app. You can also choose to send flowers and a movie to someone else and they can redeem their code to pick their own title online.
“With many people choosing to stay home, backyards everywhere have been transformed into makeshift movie theaters,” said Amit Shah, president, 1-800-Flowers.com, in a statement. “This exciting collaboration with Universal, together with the unique delivery experience designed by SmartGift, provides a fantastic new way for customers to engage with our brand and connect with each other.”
You can choose from a list of Universal movies to send at $6.99 for classics like E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial or Jaws, and $9.99 for recent blockbuster hits like The Invisible Man or Trolls World Tour.
“Digital movie collecting continues to surge and there is no better time to join forces with 1-800-Flowers.com to innovate that experience,” said Michael Aaronson, SVP, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, in a statement. “Now consumers can enrich every gifting occasion with a personalized movie experience that, for the first time, offers the opportunity to pair a digital movie with another gift via a major eCommerce brand. By giving the recipient the power to choose the film that is right for them, this collaboration introduces the most personalized and flexible digital movie gifting experience in the marketplace. We look forward to expanding this unique add-on offer across the broader 1-800-Flowers.com Inc. portfolio of brands in the coming months.”
