Sherlock Holmes’ sleuthing younger sister Enola is headed back to Netflix for a second season. The streamer couldn’t not hit the green light on a sequel after the first movie did so well with audiences everywhere. Enola Holmes was released last year reaching an estimated 76 million households in the first 28 days. The film was also consistently ranked in Netflix’s top 10.
Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill will be reprising their roles as the mischievous and rebellious Enola and her older super-detective brother Sherlock respectively. Rumors circulating Season 2 indicate we may be introduced to Watson in the next chapter.
“I can’t wait to collaborate again with my Enola Holmes family!” Brown said. “Enola holds a special place in my heart – she’s strong, fearless, intelligent and brave. I look forward to fans seeing how her journey continues!”
So far there’s no release date for Season 2. The first season premiered in September 2020, so it might be that Netflix will follow suit and release Season 2 also in September, most likely 2022.
